- Duties
The primary responsibilities for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I involves venipunctures and skin punctures. The primary responsibilities for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician II involves arterial punctures as well as venipunctures and skin punctures.

136 Hours / 15 Weeks / 4 Months
96 hour Didactic/On Campus Lab Training Program in Clovis, CA Externship: 40 hours. Shift varies by site Meets California State Phlebotomy Licensing Requirements
- Qualifications
Qualifications– Applicant must meet one of the following:
- Currently working or has worked within the last 12 months in one of the approved allied health profession (Medical Assistant, EMT, LVN or RN).
- Currently attending or graduate within the past 12 months from a Post-Secondary Institution (SJVC, UEI, etc.) with a focus on the medical field. Graduated with a 2.00 GPA or currently has at least a 2.50 GPA.
- College units within in last 12 months in health education (Nursing, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology.)

Upon completion of the Phlebotomy Technician program, graduates should possess the following competencies:
